CYCLING PARADISE

Mallorca has it all. This will be a trip of a lifetime as the amount of great road cycling is just flat out amazing.  TRUST US!

9 days of cycling planned with everyday having an amazing route. We will have support riders, allowing each type of rider. Lunch and coffee stops along the way.

4 days of riding out of the Valldemossa area. Dramatic sea views, small villages, quiet roads, rolling climbing and descents. 5 days of riding out of  Port de Pollensa. Iconic is the only way to describe these routes and rides.

$4250 per person based on double occupancy

Lunch

Lunches will be on your own. As we scouted the area, we had so much fun stopping at roadside cafes and getting delicious baguette sandwiches and chatting with all the other cyclists. Extremely affordable prices. We decided it was just part of the great atmosphere to plan the trip this way. The central squares in many old and cobbled towns are filled with outdoor restaurants and hundreds of cyclists sharing stories, adventures and riding recommendations.

Accommodations

Valldemossa- 4 nights

Hotel in Valldemossa—high on the bluffs of the Mediterranean

We will begin the exploration of magnificent Mallorca in Valldemossa. A village steeped in old-world charm, Valldemossa lies in an idyllic valley in the midst of the Tramuntana mountains. Its ancient blonde stone houses contrast vividly against the surrounding green forests of olive, oak and almond trees, and the blue sky above. With a population of around 2,000 people, Valldemossa's quiet and picturesque streets are sprinkled with shops, art galleries, cafes and restaurants. Doorways are lined with beautiful plants and flowers.

In Valldemossa all breakfasts and dinners will be included, as well as dinner wine and beer.

Port de Pollensa – 4 nights

The Port has everything with wonderful scenery, sandy beaches and a relaxed pace. The Tramuntana mountain range is the back drop for the beautiful horseshoe shaped bay. The origins of the fishing village are still present and a beautiful walking promenade with many cafes, restaurants and shops are welcoming.

In Port de Pollensa, two dinners with dinner wine and beer will be included. Two dinners will be on your own. On our scouting trip, we enjoyed walking the “Pine Walk” along the Mediterranean Sea and enjoying a meal at the many small and reasonably priced restaurants. We thought a couple of nights to go out as a couple or in small groups at your own pace will be a chance to soak in all that the Port has to offer.

Palma 1 night

The final day of riding starts in Port de Pollensa and finishes in the wonderful city of Palma. Known for its sun and beaches, it also has an attractive historic quarter. The Cathedral, the Almudaina Palace, the Lonja fish market and Plaza Mayor are some of the sites that are well worth visiting. The most beautiful monuments are surrounded by fishing boats, pine forests and palm trees. The last night will be spent in the heart of the city, easy walking distance to shopping and sites. Cheers to a great tour and toasts to new friendships before the good-byes come the next morning. The hotel will be a short taxi ride away from the airport making for an easy departure.

Day Off?

As previously mentioned, there will be 9 days of riding planned (a ride a day). Most of the rides are easy to shorten or lengthen. Some may want a day off. The hiking is abundant and nearby in both of our locations. Car rentals are easy to arrange in Port de Pollensa.

BICYCLE RENTALS

More info to follow but if there was ever a place to rent a bicycle Mallorca is the place. There is the ability to rent a selection of top end bikes  and no need to lug your precious two wheeled friend all the way over.

Special Diet Needs

Vegetarian diets should be easy to accommodate on Mallorca. Plenty of fish dishes and vegetable options. Dairy is plentiful with all the cheese and yogurt. Vegan diets will be a bit more difficult—we can’t make any promises on accommodating vegan diets.

ROUTES & GPS

We have great rides planned, for now enjoy all the photos.  “Trust Us” the routes will be great. Something for all. Smiles will be plentiful as you just can’t go wrong. Plenty of climbing and views along the multitude of serpentine roads. Garmin map GPS units will be mandatory for each rider. We have Garmin units for rent if you do not have your own.

FINAL NIGHT

The last day will be a ride into the exciting a bustling city of Palma. The beautiful city is minutes from the airport, allowing for easy departures. A celebratory toast to the exploration of Mallorca and plan the return trips! Our final night will be spent near the old town of Palma. We even suggest adding a day to your trip to relax and enjoy the city.
