Tour Information 

Join OutThere Adventure Travel to ride on the cycling friendly island of Mallorca. Experience "almost heaven" for any cyclist. The tour is designed for multiple levels of cycling fitness and experience, ideal for couples, individuals, seasoned and novice riders. The tour will include the iconic rides of Sa Calobra and Cap de Formentor as well as the gorgeous coastal ride towards Andratx and the windmill doting, rock wall lanes of the inner island.  

The smaller size of our group and the option for E-bikes, allows for tailoring to varied levels of ability. We can shorten a day for some and add more challenge and length to a day for others. The beaches, shopping, hiking are fun off the bike activities

3 nights in Port de Pollença

We start in the small resort town on Mallorca's northern coast, Port de Pollença feature the famed pine walk along the  beach, crystal-clear waters and plentiful seaside restaurants and beach shops. The hotel boasts of stunning views of the placid water of the bay. The high quality and quantity of  cycling shops in the small village will alert you to just how much cycling is part of the  economy of the island. The first warm-up ride will be the afternoon of the 29th, making arriving at least a day early a good suggestion.

4 nights in Deià

Deià, the prettiest village of Mallorca, perched in the golden Tramuntana Mountains overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.  The quaint village draws tourists for its natural beauty, enchanting ambiance and great restaurants and cafes. Deià has a bohemian and eccentric vibe that has attracted famous artists, musicians and writers and many call Deià home.

1 night in Palma 

With the massive Santa María cathedral and old town greeting our arrival, the tour concludes in Palma. The stunning metropolitan city with its historic streets is home to top restaurants, enticing boutiques stores, contemporary galleries and bustling atmosphere. A night out on the town for dinner will be our farewell. The final hotel is a modern and convenient base to explore Palma. The airport for departure is easily reached by taxi.

Dates: Arrive Mallorca by noon on September 29.  Depart Mallorca on morning of October 7

Ride days: September 29—October 6 will be ride days with a recovery ride spin or day off scheduled mid tour. 

Price: $4500 based on double occupancy. Single options available

Tour Size: Our tour size is up to 15 guests.

Not Included:

• Airport transfers. We will help arrange the transfers and assist in sharing the transfers with other guest with similar travel times.

• Lunch stops at cafes or restaurants during the rides. The cost of these will be guest’s responsibility.

• Tipping of guides and other professional services (such as massage or spa).

Hotels:  We believe the hotels are integral part  the tour and have selected hotels to accommodate cyclists and give the Mallorcan experience.  Single supplements available as well as upgrades.

 

Bike rentals:  The bikes that we can arrange for you to rent will be high end road and E-bikes with appropriate gear ratios. The bike rentals are not included in the trip price. You may want to consider traveling with your own bike if you are extremely particular with the fit and ride of your bike. The newer and higher end bike technology is making it more difficult to adjust the handlebars, stems and seatposts to custom fit the riders needs. We are happy to work with you to help you make this decision.

 

Airports/Travel:

Palma Mallorca Spain (PMI) airport is approximately 1 hour by car to Port de Pollença

Airports for Departure October 7th

Palma airport is approximately 20 minutes by taxi from final hotel

​

Deposits/Payments: $1500 non-refundable deposit due upon confirmation and final  $3000 due May 1, 2024

 

Arriving early is possible. Please let us know as soon as possible if you would like to arrive a day or two early to acclimate so we reserve the rooms.

Upgrading is possible. Each hotel will have upgrade options if you would like to upgrade to a larger room or a suite.
