Pyrenees Tour
September 19-27, 2025
OutThere Adventure Travel has the Pyrenees Road Cycling Tour back on the calendar for September 2025. Amazing rides, unsurpassed scenery, charming ski towns and villages await you. Our routes will accommodate the moderate to the serious cyclist. The rides will average between 30-50 miles a day and of course with the ascending and descending which comes with the mountain passes. Daily options for shorter of longer distances available. Not sure you want to ride everyday or at all? This trip is still for you if you prefer shopping, spa day or a hiking day with endless options in each location can be arranged.
Tour Information
The exciting roads of the Pyrenees and the stunning beauty make this a perfect cycling holiday. The tour can be designed for multiple levels of cycling fitness and experience, ideal for couples, individuals, seasoned and novice riders. The tour is more challenging, so cycling experience is needed. Our goal is for each person to enjoy the trip and the areas we travel through. The smaller group sized and the option for E-bikes, allows for tailoring to varied levels of ability. We can shorten a day for some and add more challenge and length to a day for others. We like to budget time for cultural, historical and the region’s spectacular sites–as well as fun off the bike adventures.
4 nights in Luchon
‘Queen of the Pyrenees’, Bagnères-de-Luchon –more commonly called simply Luchon –this the pretty and welcoming spa town and epicenter for outdoor enthusiasts. The Tour de France has included Luchon on the route 68 times, our routes will include Col-de-Peyresourde, Port de Bales & Col du Portillon.
The historic grandeur of Luchon is present, although the majesty has been a little diluted over time. The rough-edged regality is where its great appeal lies. Plenty of activity along the tree lined avenues with shopping and dining. Luchon is home to the famed thermal spa; there are treatments with respiratory and rheumatology benefits. Don’t miss the exotic underground vaporarium.
3 nights in St Lary
Located at the heart of the Pyrenees mountains and a few kilometers from Spain, the lovely village of Saint-Lary-Soulan –St Lary is also a well known spa resort and a dream destination for all those wishing to tackle the climbs of Col du Portet, Col d’Aspin and the granddaddy--Col du Tourmalet. A friendly atmosphere awaits you in St Lary’s streets, shops, bars and restaurants.
The tour wraps up with a final night in Toulouse. The hotel is connected to the Toulouse Airport making for easy departure.
